Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. It is unlikely to get pregnant by intercourse on the next day of finishing the periods, as ovulation do not occurs by then. However, one should take emergency contraception to be fully safe within72 hours of unprotected intercourse.
If she is unable to take emergency contraception, then she should wait for the period, if they are delayed then do get a urine pregnancy test done and further management should be done accordingly. If termination of pregnancy is required, then it can be done by medical or surgical method.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
