I recently went for a smear test. However it was very painful and I
was advised to apply Fegifem tablets for 3 months. Every day for 2 weeks and 2x per week for the 10 weeks. Having read the side effects of this HRT tablet I wonder if there is any other way to enable the smear test

You have not mentioned what kind of smear test you are going through, if this is of uterus then second alternative would be imaging studies like ultrasonography, CT, MRI, this could rule out possibility of some diseases, hope this information helps, take care, have a nice day.
