Suggest Medication For White Color Patches On Cheek

Dear sir/Madam, My daughter is suffering with white coloured patches on her chick ( mostly on left hand side). Although it doesn t show any further reaction like blood, itching etc but not look good. Some people says she needs multivitamin syrup as treatment, please can you tell me what is better for her? Thank you Regards VIVEK SHARMA Delhi

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi...by what you quote I feel that it could be Pityriasis alba - a sort of fungal infection. It will usually respond to mild steroids.

But....Skin conditions are best diagnosed only after seeing directly. I suggest you to upload photographs of the same on this website, so that I can guide you scientifically.

Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
