with the advent of new medicines typhoid is no longer considered a fatal or dangerous disease. drugs like ceftriaxone, azithromycin can cure typhoid.
now, as to your question, your body will not have IgM positive forever after you develop a bout of typhoid.
if you are presently running a fever with other signs like coated tongue, enlarged spleen, then there is a possibility that you are having another episode of typhoid. my suggestion would be to have a blood culture done as soon as possible and start treatment for typhoid with azithromycin. the antibiotic can be changed once the culture report is available.
however if you DO NOT have any fever now, then there is no need for any treatment at present.
