Suggest Medication For Sore Throat, Pressure In Sinus And Coughing Up Of Mucus

I have a cold. Started last Saturday morning with a sour throut. Processed into a runny nose. THen sinus pressure and blowing my nose. Now I coughing up balls of mucus. I ve been taking Musinex D 12 hour and seems to help some. Is there something else I should be taking. That would give me better relief? How much longer will it last? Sorry I didn t know you had to pay. I ll just talk with my doctor or pharmacist.

As per your complain it seems that along with cold you have also got sinus infection leading to sinus pressure..
You should continue taking Mucinex D as it contains cough expectorant Guaifenesin and decongestant Phenylephrine..
You can also take mucolytics like Ambroxol, anti allergics like Levocetrizine and anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
You can do saline nasal irrigation and steam inhalation..
Use a cool mist humidifier in your room as it will help in easing breathing..
You can also chew a Vitamin C pellet to boost immunity..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Drink plenty of warm water..
Do warm compresses around the nose to relieve pressure..
