Suggest Medication For Severe Diarrhea In A Baby

hi My daughter is 8 months old. She has been suffering from loose motion (at least 8-9) everyday. And high grade fever upto 104. I ve consulted to my local doctor and as per him she has a symptom of Rotavirus. Doctor has prescribed her OFLOXACIN & ORANIDAZOLE SUSPENSION, DOMPERIDONE DCYCLOMINE HYDROCHLORIDE & DIMETHICONE SUSPENSION, ONDANSETRON ORAL SUSPENSION IP AND WICORYL twice a day. We have been giving her the same medicine from last three days but only recovery we have found that no fever on third day. She has no relief in dyoherea (watery). What should i do?

Symptoms of Rota virus infection are common at the age of your daughter and several drugs exhibited are no help to contain the Gastric flu as the origin is virus inthe gut refractory to antiboitics. However the
fever usually abates around day 3 which is also the case in your child. Symptomatically you can improve the diarrheoa component by giving orange juice,banana and plenty of water to counter the dehydration and mineral deficit along with ORS if your doctor advocates. It takes around a week to gut sanitization naturally and symptom amelioration
