Suggest Medication For Pain In Shin Area Due To Sun Burn

So on Monday I went kayaking and I forgot to use sunblock on my legs. We were there for two hours. It still hurts alittle to walk. The part that hurts a lot is where the shin is. It s hurts to step and to walk. I been using a spray with aloe Vera and lindocaine. I think I got a second degree burn. Will it heal soon ??

Hi. Welcome to HCM
If your leg is red or swollen, it would be better to consult the dermatologist.
If it is just burning or painful, continue the aloe vera with lidocaine. Your skin may turn dry and peel off as it heals, the dead burnt skin, leaving some light areas. Continue to use aloe vera lotion over it.
If you do develop any watery blisters, as may happen in deeper burns, do not burst them or peel off the skin. If it peels off, you can apply an antibiotic cream like fusidic acid to prevent infection.
If you develop symptoms like fever, severe chills, pains, etc do go to the hospital. Since you did not have such symptoms so far, its unlikely that you will now.
Applications may need to be continued for 7-10 days till your skin recovers. A mild steroid cream maybe used if there is very red and inflammed skin. Remember to stay hydrated, drink plenty of fluids.
Hope this helps.
