Suggest Medication For Heavy Bleeding And Cramps After An Abortion
I am 22 years and had a medical abortion a week ago (6daysto be precise). I had massive cramps for 2 days and heavy bleeding with plenty of clots, some big and some small. I am still passing out some blood and small clots here and there. The problem now is that my belly is getting bigger and I can feel it bulging and my breast have become even bigger than they usually are. Now I am scared my mom might notice it (since she doesn't know about it). I am really scared even to go back for a scan because I am not sure if I will handle if the results arent good. Please help me.
Hello dear Understand your concern Generally bleeding will stops with in 5-7 days after medical abortion. Wait for more one days to stop bleeding. If bleeding will continue following are the causes: incomplete abortion/retain products with or without infections, ectopic pregnancy, choriocarcinoma. Pelvic examination and USG scan is required for diagnosis of above causes. Do not worry all are treatable if diagnose early. Incomplete abortion should be treated by misoprostol or by curratage Infections by cephalaxine Choriocarcinoma by methotrexate plus surgery. Inspite of no bleeding after 7 days, USG should be done after 14 days for safe practice Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
