Suggest Medication For Controlling High Blood Pressure Other Than Revlol XL

Hi...Greetings..I am 49 year old male..healthy..Heught 177 cms, weight 83 kg's..I have high blood pressure 140/90 & 140/100.since 2006...I use Revlol 25 mg everyday in the morning for the past 1.5 years..I do brisk walk daily for 90 minutes and an hour in gym..ECG & TMT reports are normal...offlate I find that even with the medicine the blood pressure reading is 140/90..The dose was raised to 50 mg (revlol XL) but the drug was not effective...Can you please suggest any alternate medicine...I have acid reflux problem and I do take Anatacids time to time...As per Endoscopy test no ulcers in the stomach...

Thanks for contacting HCM. Dear patient, First I must congratulate you for keeping yourself so fit. The drug you are taking is appropriate for you. You have not mentioned the time since your dose was increase to 50 as minimum one week is needed for the change in dose to show effective results. So, if it is less than 1 week wait for effect to kick in and if it is more than 1 week then you can take a Revlol 25 mg in addition to revlol 50mg . take 50mg at bed time and 25 mg in morning. Regards
