I have had head pain for the last 2 months and over the last week it has become worse. I have high bp. and I have just started medication given by my gp. I am really worried that the constant pain in my head may be a tumor. The pain is on the right side and is always the same

Hi,

Your history says you have high BP which was not treated, so your symptoms might be due to the hypertensive crisis.

I advise you to:
- Do detailed EYE & ENT examination to rule out any complications
- Regular BP checkup
- Tab. Antihypertensives regularly
- To take Analgesics like Naproxen / paracetamol & Triptans
- Relaxation & Stretching exercises & YOGA
- Avoid exposure to light, noise etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya Vasudevan, General & Family Physician
