i am suffering from burning sensation in anal for last 20 days. some times pain in that area is adding with burning. my doctor suggested deltigesic ointment. and diagnosed as fissure. what is your suggestion to get relief. please. my email is YYYY@YYYY
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain burning sensation and pain in anus can occur due to causes like Anal fissure [most common], constipation, fecal impaction, hemorrhoids, perianal hematoma, crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis etc.. In case if you are already diagnosed with Anal Fissure you can continue using Deltigesic ointment that contains Dialtizem and it helps in dilating the blood vessels and improve blood flow and ease the pain and promote healin.. Nitrate containing ointments can also be advised.. You should also take Sitz bath in which you can sit in a tub of warm water atleast twice a day.. In case if you have hard stools take laxatives.. For pain you can also take over the counter anti-inflammatory painkiller like advil, tylenol etc.. Eat a good fibre diet.. Drink plenty of water.. Clean the area properly after bowels.. Limit intake of tea, coffee and alcohol..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
