Suggest Medication For An Ear Infection

My grand daughter had ear infection5 times for last 6months.. she has been given antibiotic(Amoxicline, azithromycin) each time when she got infection... Doctor advised that ear tube has to be inserted, so that the fluid accumulated in the ear drum can be drained out...My grand daughter age is 1year and 6 months .. Please advise..

Dear parent, the most common cause of recurrent ear infection is enlarged adenoids . enlarged adenoids can be a site of Focal sepsis that spread to the ears leading to. recurrent ear infection. this is an indication of removing the adenoids using surgery to avoid further complications . I recommend you start with removing adenoids before inserting ear tubes
