I HAVE SUCH A BAD ACNE SINCE I WAS 14 AND I STILL DO ANYWAYS I TRIED ALMOST EVERYTHING NOT REALLY WORKED I WENT TO MY DERM LAST WEEK AND SHE RECOMM ME ACCUTANE AND I HEARD SOO MANY SIDE EFFECTS ABOUT THAT MEDICATION NOW I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO IM A FEMALE 25 WHOS MARRIED

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have noticed acne since you were 14 which occur because skin has increased sensitivity of getting pigmented and there is clogging of skin pores and it leads to post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation. You should apply Meladerm cream and it is purely safe to use as this is combination of hydroquinone + Tretinoin + steroid and apply it at night time. I would suggest you to wash your face daily with cold water and face wash containing salicylic acid twice a day. Drink plenty of water. If condition doesn't get well in a week then consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics, steroid ointment and may recommend chemical peeling for marks. Apply aloe vera gel at night
