Suggest Mechanism Involved In In Cortisol Feedback Inhibition

What is the mechanism (receptors involved?) in cortisol feedback inhibtion of CRH and ACTH in the hypothalamus and anterior pituitary. I know that it does indeed cause the inhibition, but is it a direct effect of the cortisol binding a receptor or is there some chemoreceptor or something of the sort that just senses the high cortisol levels and causes a reduction in the CRH/ACTH pathways?
