General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi dear,

Thanks for choosing Health Care Magic.

Cortisol test is conducted by doctor to rule out some diseases caused by either high or low cortisol level in the blood. The test is usually taken in the morning but it can be taken in other times of the day.

Based on your result, your cortisol level is normal and you have nothing to worry about.

High cortisol level might indicate presence of tumour in pituitary gland or adrenal gland whereas low cortisol levels might indicate diseases such as hypopituitarism or more commonly Addisons disease.

Hope this helped.

Wishing you all the best.
