Reconstructive surgeries can correct malformed facial features. Surgical operations are usually spread out over months or years(depending upon what needs to be repaired). Has your son had any brain imaging? If he does have a brain problem, it is imperative that he be evaluated by a pediatric neurologist and a developmental pediatrician as soon as possible. They will want to follow him as he grows, also. The national organization in USA known as FACES can refer you to a Craniofacial Center near where you live. These centers have experienced physicians who can give him the proper treatment. They can also provide you with contact information of families who have a child with the same diagnosis as yours.
