Suggest Ideal Dosage Of Sodium Thyroxine While Trying To Conceive
We are planning for a second baby..im taking sodium thyroxine 50mcg for the last three months..Taken overal g for these three months for adjusting my iirregular periods .For this month it is not taking.Now TSH is normal.whether the dosage should be adjusted before conception? Also im taking montair fx tab for the late one yr.is it necessary to stop before becoming pregnant? Also Kindly give an advice about taking folic acid before conception,ie, when should I start taking folic acid tab?

Hello,
It is based on your hormonal status. As a starting dose 75microgram may be started once daily dose.
A thyroid function has to be repeated after six weeks and adjust the dose.
