General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi Bernie,

I am sorry to hear that you have been having bronchitis for 6 weeks.

I am happy that you are not having fever or other complications. With regards to dry cough, I can advise as following:
- raise your head more than your legs when sleeping
- take cough medicines containing anti-hystaminics at bedtime
- take Ranitidine at night to optimize stomach acidity as it has become more acidic due to bronchitis and medications you take
- take antacids after meal
- aerosol-therapy can also help
- you can discuss with your doctor to use bronchodilatators pumps to relieve cough
- drink plenty of water

Hope it was of help!
