I am doing a research paper on Rapunzel syndrome. I would like to know a few thing. What is the History Process. Who Identified. What are the Characteristics and/or symptoms? What are the treatments/coutomes? What is the impact on the brain/physical abilities?

Rapunzel syndrome, a rare psychiatric condition where people eat their own hair, is all too real — and potentially deadly. About 10 to 20 percent of those individuals end up eating their hair, a condition known as trichophagia.

Commonly seen in girls above age of 12 years.
Awareness training or behavioral therapy is useful.
Competitive response training is useful.
Sometimes it may cause low quality of life.
Psychiatrist consultation is necessary.
