Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a script for Atorvastatin 20mg that has been being filled by Walgreens pharmacy. A few months back they informed me of a change in the manufacturer of the drug...I looked at all the sample pictures but cannot find a matching image to my pills - which have SG stamped on one side and 153 on the other. Could you please identify who the manufacture of this is?
Its initial dose is 10-20 mg orally once daily to be taken in the evening. The maintenance dose: 10 mg to 80 mg orally once a day depending upon the blood cholesterol levels.
The pill having an imprint of SG 153 is white in color and oval shaped has been identified as Atorvastatin calcium 20 mg. It is manufactured by ScieGen Pharmaceuticals.
Hope I could answer your query.
