Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good day Doc, I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes on May 2015 and my HbA1c is 7.1 and my SGPT level is 75. My question is, What diet should I take? Can you suggest a best diet plan for me? I am taking Metformin 500mg 2x daily ( Morning and Evening with meal ). My physician prescribed me a 3x daily dose of metformin on May 2015 but since my morning sugar level is at 85-100 range since June till now ( monitored weekly using Glucometer ) I decided to lower my dose of metformin to 2x daily. I spent at least 30 minutes of light exercise a day like walking and jogging to help maintain my blood sugar level.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, you can have any diet if you are regular in exercise have tight rule basis control of blood sugar then it is okay if you can have balance diet which must be low in calorie, else this is nothing to worry, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
