i had been a bone tb patient....even after complete dose of 9 months,i still fear it's again striking back.i got contracted in 2006 n still i have some problems like.pain in calf bone whenever i go for run.it seems bones have become brittle.plz suggest me what can i do as far as diet is concerned?
Hi & Welcome. I can understand your concern. Tuberculosis is a chronic disease associated with various nutritional deficiencies partly due to infection as such and due to the drugs used in the treatment. So, in order to replenish the essential nutrients you are advised to take a high protein diet (meat, chicken, fish, eggs or milk), take plenty of fruits and green leafy vegetables, and drink plenty of drinking water. A regular exercise is also recommended.
