Sir, I have been suffering for almost one year with tingling burning pain along with pigmentation inside the lower lip mucosa which I initially thought was due to hair color used for mustache which accidentally entered in the lower lip. I happened to receive for this time accidental X ray radiation across the wall opposite to my chair where there was a X ray room with daily 30-40 chest xrays being done there. My predecessors did not complained such incidence. I had frequently developed sudden localized lip swelling especially after nuts, toothpaste with clove, even at direct contact with fingers at times during this time. I got cracks in lower lip with chapped appearance and tried to keep them moist by taking plenty of fluids, fresh fruit juices. I have got occasional h/o atopy due to colored drinks and food allergy for at least 05 yrs with exercise stress induced asthma. I tried multivitamins, but to no avail. I consulted initially skin specialist who thought it to be photosensitivity although I remain indoor throughout the day. She advised to apply petroleum jelly and avoid toothpaste. It did not work. My lab tests are normal except for 08% Eosinophils. I have used cetirizine tab, petroleum jelly, paffin wax, almond oil, polyfax with partial relief. I also use Ventolin inhaler for early morning dip.plz help
