How To Cure Gerd?

Hello,
I've been having this light pressure and tingling feeling in my head. For the last week I've been having severe chest pains and found out that it was due to GERD. prior to knowing the cause I was quite stressed wondering what it could be. It comes and goes, the tingling and pressure. I'm wondering if this is something I should
Be concerned with and if I should make an appointment immediately or if I should wait to see if it subsides in its own.
I've been feeling this way since the day after my first trip to the ER last Friday.

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to GERD.
However, an ECG should be done to rule out any Cardiovascular cause for your chest pains.

Medical management of GERD consists of intake of Proton pump inhibitors like Pantoprazole (which prevent acid formation in stomach)+ Domperidone preparations (strengthens the sphincter & prevents reflux)

In addition he needs to follow certain diet & lifestyle measures, such as:
1. Dietary modification- avoid consuming irritating substances such as acidic & rich foods, caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol.
2. Lifestyle modification- like weight reduction, sleeping on the left side, or with upper body raised.

If symptoms still persist, it will be better to consult your treating Doctor/ Gastroenterologist.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
