Hello,
Thanks for your query.
You might suffering from
cervical spondylosis. It is a common degenerative condition of the
cervical spine. It is most likely caused by age-related changes in the intervertebral disks.
I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination.
Your doctor after diagnosing the condition may refer you for
physical therapy. The physical therapist will help you reduce your pain using stretches. The therapist will show you how to do exercises that make your neck muscles stronger.
You can take analgesic and
muscle relaxant after discussing with your doctor.
You also need some life style modification like-
Do not sit for prolonged period of time in stressful postures
Do use firm collars while traveling
Do not lift heavy weights on head or back
Do not turn from your body but turn your body moving your feet first
Do turn to one side while getting up from lying down
Most common reason for knee pain at advanced age is arthritis knee. This can be confirmed by some features which are present in radio-graph or x ray of knee.
Medicines which you re taking at present do not help with
knee osteoarthritis. To have relief in osteoarthritis knee, you should do following-
-Start doing exercises for quadriceps muscles. You may learn this from your physiotherapist.
-Start doing warm fomentation with rubber bag over knee for at least 3 times a day.
-Take a good analgesic like advil or aleeve.
-There are some dietary substances like
glucosamine ,chondroitin sulfate,MSM which can be taken OTC.These substances help in repairing of damaged cartilage of knee in early stages.
-Avoid squatting movements at knee.
-In early stages exercises, medicines ,joint supplements & intra articular injections are helpful & may revert the changes but in late cases
joint replacement is only option.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
