What Causes Severe Pain In Neck, shoulder And Back And Problem In Balancing?

1 am a 60 year old male around six foot highand weighing 17 stone. I have been diagnosed with cervical spondylosis about 3 year ago. I am on painkillers and have had various treatments eg acupuncture. My symptoms are for the most part evolve around neck pain, headache, and stiffness. However I am recently getting more severe flare ups, with excrutiating pain in my neck, shoulders and back, also finding that my balance is sometimes affected as well as an unsteadiness when I walk. My GP says all this is normal for the condition and I just wanted your opinion please

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, all this is associated with cervical spondylosis, however, please rule out other possible reasons like blood pressure, brain issues etc. The condition keeps on worsening if not put on halt, while we can not reverse the condition we can halt it with right kind of exercises. Do visit a physical therapist near your area for right guidance.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
