Hi,

Pain in food pipe is most probably due to a condition called esophagitis and can be secondary to GERD that is gastroesophageal reflux disease. I would advise you the following in such a situation:
- Stop Ofloxacin if the course is completed or not indicated as you have not mentioned the reasons why are you taking
- Antacid should be taken when on empty stomach
- Stop oily and spicy foods
- Small frequent feeds of soft bland diet
- Take a PPI like Omeprazole or Pantoprazole
- Difficulty in breathing can be due to bronchitis, asthma or so on

It can be evaluated by your doctor on auscultation, X-ray chest or so. Proper findings will guide for an appropriate management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
