Suggest Cure For Ailment In The Left Testicle

Dear Dr,

My left testicle hags lower and doesn't move. I can tighten my abdominal muscles and the right testicle moves accordingly, but the testicle on the left side doesn't even seem to respond to the cremaster reflex. The left side epididymis feels sour constantly as does from the top of the testicle all the way to the body next to the penis on the left side. It's not sensitive to touch. It's just a permanent ache.

I've had this ache that is very uncomfortable and is interrupting my activities for 3 weeks now. It's not getting better.

There is no discharge from the penis and no pain urinating. It does take a while to start urinating sometimes, but there is not pain and everything appears normal once I start.

I had an inguinal hernia operation also on the left side almost 8 months ago.

Two weeks ago, I was at the hospital and they checked. They did an echosonogram and reported that all was normal. They only found that a lymph node in my groin on the left side was inflamed: 10x3.5mm. I took a low dose of antibiotic for 5 days and they said to rest a bit.

Now 2 weeks later, I don't feel better. What could it be?

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear I read facts of your query and reviewed it in context to your health issues submitted in your query.
I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.

Based on the facts of your query the reply of your query is-
Your current health issues seem to be due to -Non-inflammatory Epdidymal constant ache.
The cause of this pain is not yet fixed even after the USG you did lately.
Also the finding of inflammed lymph node post inguinal hernia operation, did not stand and prove the cause of the pain in the left epididymis. In view of the normal urination no UTI(Urinary Tract Infection) is suspected to be a cause of this pain.
In view of all this, possibility of epdidymal varicose veins with left vein Varicose Vein needs to be verified by Color Doppler study on left scrotum and inguinal region.
Other causes like IBS with Sigmoid Colitis- which could cause inflammatory tersticular nerve- neuritis/ testicular-vessels-vasculitis also needs to be ruled out.
But this would need Special Consults with Urologist and Surgeon, with detailed work up of the history /physical / radiological tests with Valsalva maneuver-during Color Doppler study for Varicose Veins.
Possibility of forgotten STD needs to be kept in mind and confirmed by LCr blood test to confirm the gonorrheal/ chlamydial infection which is forgotten.

Hence Other causes-as cited above- need to be ruled out,by verification with Surgeon and Urologist.

Do's-
Consult with Urologist / Surgeon who would investigate history and physically examine and USG abdomen and stool examination to fix the cause of Varicose Vein or Colitis leading to such a pain .
This would fix the persistent pains in left testicle, amongst the above or other possibilities.
You need to treat it with Urologist/Surgeon, which should be done on priority and urgently to avoid further complications.

This would resolve the complaints of your's.

Constant follow-up with local family or specialist Urologist / Surgeon for long term would give you long remissions in time to come, which would depend on meticulous follow-up treatment of your health concerns.

Just don't worry and be patient and co-operate with your doctors, till you verify with your attending doctors.
For early recovery-please follow above do's which would resolve your complex health issues.

Hope this would help you to treat your health issues in the best way possible.
