Suggest Cure For A Damaged Blood Vessel In One Of My Eyes

A blood vessel burst in one of my eyes. I am 61 years of age and and I never knew anyone who had this happen to them. I had been walking with friends and was wearing sunglasses and when I arrived home saw that my eye was covered with a red blood like film. I was told to put warm compresses on it. How long before it goes away?

Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having a bleeding from blood vessel on the surface of the eye.
This is called as subconjunctival hemorrhage.
This will resolve by 1-2 weeks and no treatment is required.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination for confirmation of diagnosis.

Hope this is helpful to you.

Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
