Suggest An Alternative Medication For Zyvox

I have an infection in the lungs. The pulmonary doctor sent a prescription for Zyvox to Walgreens. Walgreens called me and told me that the coverage is giving them a hard time. I checked DrugRX and www.goodrx.com to see what the price would be at Walgreens. I can t afford $1551.85, I am on a fixed income now. should I call back the doctor and ask for a substitute for Zyvox? Teva pharmaceuticals have released generic Linezolid , which is available at lower cost than Zyvox. Please consult your doctor to switch to generic Linezolid.
