Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I went to the doctor today for an outer ear infection. At the time I had not ran any fever so he prescribed Ciprodex. Things have only gotten worse since the visit. I have spiked a temp of 101.3. Tremendous pain and lots of pressure, to the point sounds are muffled and I have ringing in my ears. Should I go back or wait for the drops to work? I ve had several ear infections and usually need a wick placed.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is the confirmed ear infection then it could be fungal one and it need to be treated in that way only and fist step would be to clean the ear and for that it is better to see the doctor till then analgesic can be tried and best would be Tab Ibuprofen antifungal ear drops may needed but it need to be given after confirmation hope this information helps.
