Suggest Alternative Over The Counter Medication For Ibandronate

I have been taking Ibandronate SOD 150 mg 1 tab per month.Silverscript has disconued coverage for this medication.They have added this alternative: Alendronate tab Is this taken 1 tab per month? What strength is equivalent to the medication I have been taking?

Alendronate does not have a formulation that can be taken once monthly. The dose is 5mg/day or 35mg/week for prevention of osteoporosis and 10mg/day or 70mg/week for treatment of osteoporosis.
