General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi
As per your query, you are suffering from Duodenal ulcer.
Please take a good PPI like Rabeprazole 20mg ,once daily
You should avoid spicy foods, junk foods & cool drinks.
Stop Alchohol if you are an alchoholic.
If you are a smoker, quit smoking
You should eat in time.
If the symptoms still persist, you should get an Upper GI endoscopy and also test for H.Pylori infection.
If you come back again with the above reports,i will further clarify
Wish you good health
Regards

A few questions before I answer your query.

1. Are you diabetic ?
2.Do you experience excessive thirst and micturation?
3.Are you irregular with your meal habits ?
4. Is your work stressful ?

The symptoms mentioned by you, commonly point out gastritis. However we will need to rule out diabetis as prangs of severe hunger are a sign of DM. Would recommend that you eat regularly at 2 hour intervals, avoid pungent and oily dishes . If pain still persists, medications such as a PPI or H2 blocker will be needed and the right diagnonsis to be confirmed.

Suggest that you visit a physician if you still experience discomfort even after changing your food habits.

General & Family Physician Dr. Gustav Gous's  Response
When stomach ache is effected by eating as in you case, it is usually related to acid effecting the stomach lining(gastritis or ulceration). It would be wise to see your doctor for antacid treatment and a possible gastroscopy ( looking with a camera at the stomach lining). This should clear up within a week, failing to do so a surgeon should examine you for other possible causes of epigastric pain.
