Suffering From Recurrent Vaginal Fungal Infection And Advised To Take AF Kit. Erupted Skin On Face. Is It A Side Effect?
i am suffering from recurrent vaginal fungal infection and doctor said to eat af kit both husband and wife. We both took Af kit medicine bt the problem is that my husband's skin got fully erupted mostly in face and in the genital area with some oozing boils. So kindly send me the reason behind the problem. Is it of due to some side effect or he is also suffering from any other disease. What are the test we have to undergo. Kindly send me reply.

AF kit contains Azithromycin, and it can cause blisters ( May be the same which you are prescribing). He should immediately stop the medicines, and consult the Doctor. There are other medicines available which can be prescribed for your husband once he gets better. Meanwhile you should not have intercourse to avoid recurrent vaginal infections. AF kit is not for recurrent fungal Infection. Though it is a good medicine if you have vaginal infection due to Trichomoniasis or some Bacterial infections including Gonorrhoea. You should ask your Doctor about the prevention of recurrent Fungal Infection. By taking few precautions, you can prevent fungal infections.

It does not seems fungal infection, the eruption of boils on face and the vaginal symptoms may not related with each other, more over you did not specified the symptoms of your husband, I would advise you to start the doxycyclin 100mg tab initially twice a day for 10 days, this is the empirical treatment but may give good result if it does not respond then investigation would be needed and that include complete blood count urine test, you can discus it with your doctor have nice day.
