Suffering From One Side Head Pain. Get Pain On Temple, Above Ear And Head. What Could It Be?

Hello sir,

I am 29 years old married female and suffering from left side head pain time on time.Some say its migraine some say it may be symptoms of brain tumor or cancer.Almost all day i have mild pain on this part.And 1 or 2 times on a 2 months or some time in a month i have sever pain.When it starts takes almost 24 hr or more than 24 hr to cure.Due to this i get disturb on my daily routine daily.I get pain on temple,avove ear and back side left side of head.
please help!!!!!!!!....today also i am having same pain.

Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
The most common cause of intermittent headaches in a 29 year old lady is migraine. So, it may be a good idea to start preventive migraine therapy with medications such as topiramate, divalproex, or beta blockers. These would reduce the severity and frequency of headaches.
However, if your headaches persist, you can get a brain scan done to exclude other causes. Tumor is extremely unlikely with your symptoms.
