Suffering From Fever With Enlarged Lymph Nodes

My sister is admitted in the private ward ground floor of baptist hospital b'lore with fever , vomitting enlarged lymph nodes (cervical axilla ) can u tell me her diagnosis ? FNAC was done. I'm a nurse in UN Lebanon.

Hi.. If you want to know the diagnosis of the doctors who are treating her, then you may have to contact the hospital.. The doctors might be wanting to rule the possibilities of tumour or immunocomprimised status first with the clinical symptoms that you have mentioned... Contact your family member or the hospital to know more about the condition and diagnosis.. We pray for her speedy recovery...

ENLARGED LYMPHNODES OR LYMPHANGITIS IS INDICATIVE OF SEVERE INFECTIN OR OTHER PATHOLOGIES,THE SYMPTOMS RANGING FROM FEVER TO SEVER MALISE(BODY ACHE) AND THE PROMINENCE OF CERVICAL AND AXILLARY LYMPH NODES IS VERY COMMAN.THE SOURCE OF INFECTION MUST BE IDENTIFIED AND CULTURE STUDY SHOULD BE PERFORMED IN SEVERE CASES TO RULE OF ANY OTHER PATHOLOGIES CAUSING LYMPHNODE OBSTRUCTION.
