i am suffering from fever. i have done widal test as follow 1:20 1:40 1:80 1:160 1:320 1:640
s typhi O + + + - - -
s typhi H + + + - - -
s para typhi AH - - - - - -
s para typhi BH - - - - - -
IS THERE IS NORMAL RANGE OF WIDAL TEST?

there are two antigen of salmonella which are considered during widal test, antigen O and antigen H.. if titer of antigen O is more than 1:100 then it is positive means you are suffering from typhoid. titer for antigen H if more tham 1:200 then it is positive..however these value varies from region to region depending on endemecity of disease ..increasing titer is of more value in diagnosis of typhoid..
