Suffering From PCOS, Taking Bigomet, Constantly Vomiting. What Might Be The Cause?

Hi Doctor My Wife is suffering from PCOs. She has been advised to take Bigomet twice a day. However, since she has started taking those tabs, she is constantly vomiting, food is not kinda retained in her stomach. As a result she has become weak and pale.

Hi,
Metformin can cause nausea and vomiting and hence is usually advised to be taken with a meal and not on empty stomach. If it still causes nausea and vomiting, it would be better if some anti-emetic is taken at least 30 minutes before the meal and also some treatment for gastritis if needed. Please avoid oily and heavy food and instead, allow easily digestible palatable nutritious food. The drug may also be stopped temporarily or the dosages adjusted if there is no relief. Hope your query has been clarified. Take care.
