Suffer From Headache, Nausea And Dizziness. Tryptomer Prescribed. Symptoms Persisting Despite Medication. Correct Medication?
Hi! I have been suffering from severe headache + nausea/ vomiting. Apart from this, I also started feeling dizzy (spinning) throughout the day. I was prescribed Tryptomer (twice daily for 15 days) and vertin 16 mg (thrice daily for 7 days). I have been having these medicines for 2 days now. I am not completely relived of the feeling of dizziness. I still feel light-headedness starting around noon and persisting throughout the day. Also, I feel very sleepy. Please advise if I am taking the correct medication and if I should continue it. I'd also like to know how many days will it take before I feel completely normal.
Complaints of headache, nausea, vomiting and dizziness should be investigated. These seem to be local neurological symptoms, hence I suggest that you visit a neurologist. The cause may be a space occupying lesion in the brain, hence a CT-scan of the head should be done. We also need to carry out all the routine investigations as well to look for signs of infection, anemia, electrolyte imbalances, etc.
Though tryptomer and vertin can be used to treat these symptoms, these should not be used for long time. Again these will provide only symptomatic relief.
