Sudden Periods, Tender Breasts, Irritable, Cramps. Reason?
I am 53 and have not had a period in 3.5 years. I noticed a couple of days ago my breasts were very tender, and found it very odd like the good old days. I thought no way! And then I thought it felt like when I was pregnant. Then I was driving home yesterday feeling irritable and crampy. It bothered me but life goes on. Then this morning suprise! I got a period. Now the internet is scaring the crap out of me saying it is cancer . I am going to go get checked out but does this happen to woman my age. Can a period come out of the blue. Nothing abnormal about it color wise or anything like that, no discharge to speak of or any pain other than cramps . I just need to know if this is something that can happen to anyone

At this age any abnormal bleeding and changes in breasts shape, tenderness requires evaluation of the case.
Consult your Gynaec and get examined.
ultra sound will give much information about your problem.
