Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for using healthcare magic.

I have gone through your available history.

Buspiron is good anti anxiety agent and is very useful in a case of panic disorder.

You should not omit/restart any medication without consulting your doctor as it may be harmful to you.
SO you should consult your psychiatrist for detailed evaluation and management.

Doctor may restart buspiron or may switch over to different drug like peroxetine .

You may also get benefit by doing stress management and relaxation exercise like breathing exercise.
Avoid caffeine in excess if any.

Thanks.

Psychiatrist Dr. Anjana Rao Kavoor's  Response
Hi,

You are experiencing anxiety symptoms (? PTSD/ panic disorder) and were on buspirone which is an agent well known to control anxiety symptoms. You responded well and stopped the medication ( ?by self) and are currently again experiencing symptoms within 3 weeks of stopping it.

Firstly the decision of stopping the medication should have been your doctor's, or should have been discussed with your doctor. Restarting the drug will depend on many factors like the extent of symptoms experienced and any side effects encountered. Your doctor is in the best position to do this. He may restart you gradually on the same medication since you showed good response on it earlier.

Consult your psychiatrist soon.

Hope this helps,
Dr A Rao
