Spotting Followed By Continued Bleeding After Taking Cerazette Birth Control. Is Pause Mf Safe To Take?
HI
I was prescribed to take cerazette for birth control after my first baby. I took that for 1 month (started it during the 1st day of my cycle and ended it in my next cycle) there was just little spots of bleeding first 3 days and later on started to bleed normally but the problem is, i am still bleeding its been 11 days, called my doctor who adviced me to take pause mf. I wanted to know if pause mf is safe and why is that i am bleeding for these many days.
Earlier i used to have regular cycles and normal bleeding for 5 days
Hi, Pause mf is Tranexamic acid with Mefenamic acid and is used to control excessive bleeding from the uterus. It is non-hormonal and if you are lactating, the use of this medication is done with caution and only if there are potential benefits. Bleeding disturbances do happen after delivery as the body gets readjusted to the hormonal milieu and is also observed with birth control pills in the initial months. Please follow your doctor's instructions, maintain proper nutrition and take supplements. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
