Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my boyfriends 71 year old father is in I think in the last stages of Spinal Stenosis he also has Liver disease .He cannot move his limbs and is listless. We had to bring him to the emergency at 3 in the morning , he has alot of fluid in his lungs. I would like to know if he is going to recouver or should we brace our selves
Thank you for writing in HCM.
The said gentleman has 3 problems all three of which are incapacitating and without much treatment options.A delicate balance has to be achieved in order to reverse the changes. Again the prognosis depends upon the severity of the disease processes. the lung problem is due to the bedridden state.
Overall the prognosis in the said case is not satifactory.
Regards
