Sore Throat, Contents In Throat Burns, Cough, Had Endoscopy. Acid Reflux Or GERD?

How long after eating a meal does it take the stomach to empty?
I'm thinking I might have acid reflux/GERDS.....My throat is sore, I awake during the night and have some contents in my throat and it burns. I also have a cough. I weigh 166 lbs ( no increase ) and 5 ft 4 1/2 inches tall. About 1 year ago after upper endoscopy I was place on Prilosec 20mg for 30 days. Maybe returned???

Normal gastric emptying time is about 90-120 minute. Your symptoms point towards GERD. Your endoscopy must have pointed towards that and your doctor had put you on drugs for that. Please take a three weeks course of proton pump inhibitors along with prokinetics. If frequently recurs, get Upper GI endoscopy repeated to rule out hiatus hernia and H Pylori. Avoid spicy and oily foods, use less tea coffee. Regards.
