Sore Throat, Blocked Nose, Head Pressure, Pain In Arms, Back, Wrists, Ear. Treatment?
I started off having a really sore throat , now iv got a complete blocked nose and earache in my left ear. When I try to sniff my head feels like its having loads of pressure and hurts for a few seconds. My arms wrists and back are achy and i feel drained if i do hardly anything. Any ways to help cure this? I m taking beechams flu tablets but that s all.
From your description you are seem to be presenting with signs of upper respiratory tract infection which could be due to viral infection, bacterial infection and hardly because of fungi, parasite, protozoa etc.
If viral cause, you just need symptomatic treatment with nasal decongestants such as steroid sprays or antihistamines, analgesia for the headache + ear ache. Antibiotics are not necessary. Viral infection of the upper respiratory tract is more common in children. Usually when symptoms persist for more than 3-7 days (depending on your region), it is usually necessary to start antibiotic and continue beechams flu tablets (it contains the active ingredients for symptomatic treatment of flu syndrome).
Hope this helps
