Sore Lump On The Roof Of Mouth, White Marks On The Side, throat Feels Bumpy;can It Be Cancer Due To HPV Virus?

I have a sore lump on the roof of my mouth, with white marks on the side of the roof of my mouth. I have just felt the entrance of my throat and it feels bumpy. Is this likely to be cancer cause by HPV virus? I don't even know if I have oral HPV, I'm only 18 so I can't imagine it could be cause by smoking or drinking both of which I don't do very often at all. Please help.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Sores on the roof of mouth with white marks are not specific for HPV infection.
There are couple of other lesions which can cause similar appearance like sub-mucus fibrosis, aphthous ulcers, leukoplakia etc.
A clinical assessment of the lesion and relevant investigations are required to make diagnosis and thus treatment.

Thanks and take care
