hi. i am susil dash resides at Cuttack, odisha..i have made full abdomen sonoghaphy today due to pain in my left side of stomach , the report says " A small calculus measuring 4-5mm seen in the upper pole left kidney. Mild Hydronephrosis seen in the left kidney'" Ureters: Left ureter is dilated. A calculus measuring 5-6mm seen in the left vesico-ureteric junction. can u tale me how to recover from this without any surgery.
Hi user Thanks for posting query you are having obstructive uropathy with hydronephrosis. This require ugent intervention. You may have severe colicky pain at anytime. Stone at upper pole may not require ugent intervention but stone near vesicoureteric junction which is cusing back pressure changes should be removed as early as possible. Stone at this location can be removed without open surgery by basket. Expert urologists who aredoing this procedure regularly, you can consult them. Hope you are benefited withinformation. Take care
