Small, Painless Bump On The Front Of Calf

I have a dime-sized, painless bump on the front of my calf (on of the bone ). It is not very noticeable, and I can only feel it if I put my finger on my leg. I tend to lean on my leg there. What could this be? I have had muscle tears ( shin splints ), and I heard that tears can be felt under the skin. But how long do they usually last?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, gabby,
Thanks for query,
This may be due to your healed muscle tear.
There is fibrosis formed there resulting in bump.
Nothing to worry,it may remain for long time, perhaps forever.
Ok and bye.
