Small Child Having Congestion, Fever, Tingling, Pain In Feet. Taking Motrin. Treatment?
my 4 yr old has been sick off and on for the past couple of weeks....he did just start preschool so we knew he would bring home lots of germs. but he started about three days ago with the sniffles and got pretty congested, started runing a fever of 101.4, but would go down with motrin. He has been fever free for over 24hrs and now he keeps crying that his feet are tingly and hurting. begs for me to massage them and this started last night about 7pm and its now noon the next day and he is still complaining of it. what is going on?

first of all do some simple investigations like ASO titer,ESR,complete blood count,serum vit b12 level
if he is suffering from repeated cold then give him a course of zinc syrup for 15 days
try to maintain good nutrition
if any of the blood test comes abnormal then medication will be provided accordingly by the doctor

Hi,
Your child might be just suffering from a viral and is now having post viral symptoms.Yet my dear,you should consult a child specialist,though it might be nothing. Give him plenty of fluids,a multivitamin syrup,a calcium syrup for a month to overcome the weakness caused by the fever.My sincere advise to you ,,,,in case he complaints with the same symtops formore than 3days or a week....get him investigated.......pleeeaaase.take care dear.
