Slowly Growing Slightly Dry, Leathery White Patch On And Under Penis. No Pain, Irritation. Opinion?
Hi, I've got a slightly dryish leathery white patch on the top side of my penis and another white patch on the under side of my penis. The patch on the under side doesn't feel leathery. Both are about the size of a thumb nail.
I has been on my penis for about 3 years and grows larger very slowly. I think it has grown larger by about 2/3mm a year.
There are absolutely no pain or any irritation associated with this. Any ideas what it could be?
I am so sorry to hear about these growth on your penis.
From the information you have provided, these most likely represent genital warts. They are caused by HPV infections. HPV is contracted through sexual intercourse. It can also be transmitted through sexual contact. This causes infection in women as well and putt them at very high risk for cervical cancer. Please, contact using protection during sex for the above reasons.
Treatment is by destroying it using surgery of drugs(podophylliine is a commonly used medication). I would suggest that you get evaluated by your doctor and proposed a treatment option.
